Baklava with pistachios recipe


The baklava (Turkish Baklava) is a sweet that is found in many cuisines of the Middle East and the former Ottoman countries. The cake is made with dough sheet containing nut filling, usually hazelnut, peanut or walnut, and takes its sweet taste of sugar

Baklava with pistachios
1 package fresh leaves for crust
½ kilo milk butter, melted
½ kilo chopped pistachios
3 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon grated cinnamon
For the syrup

1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cup honey
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
